Jamal is home now, he was released from the hospital on Sunday. We are all happy and grateful to have him home. There are good hours and bad hours but we continue to press on, thanking God each good hour and trying to be patient during the bad.
Last week the cousins all gathered together to make cards for their father and uncle. We had dinner, cake and ice cream and sang happy birthday to my son, Mohamed, who had turned 3 the day of his uncles surgery. Their excitement about going to see Jamal in the hospital was evident and the cards they created were beautiful.
We shared a humorous moment when Talha, ever the jokester, noticed the days goal on his fathers hospital room whiteboard:
The messages in the cards say it all. We love you Jamal and you continue to be in our prayers.
